From November 2025 our pharmacy will offer a convenient private service to help delay your period safely using a prescription-only medicine (norethisterone), following a consultation with one of our pharmacists.

About the Service

This service is suitable for women aged 16 and over who wish to delay their period for travel, holidays, exams, or other personal reasons. The consultation is conducted by our trained pharmacist.

 

Cost

The consultation fee for this service is £15. The cost of the medication is additional and will depend on the prescribed quantity.

 

How It Works

1. Book your appointment by calling us on (01900) 822292.
2.Have a private consultation with the pharmacist.
3. If appropriate, receive medication to delay your period.

Norethisterone is usually started three days before your period is due and taken up to three times a day. Your period will return within a few days of stopping the tablets.
