Service Description

Our pharmacy provides a crucial role in protecting our community by offering both the NHS-commissioned COVID-19 vaccination service and a private, convenient option. We follow the national guidance for both services, as supported by Community Pharmacy England (CPE). The NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme targets those who are at the highest risk of severe illness. Our pharmacy is a contracted provider of the NHS Enhanced Service, offering the vaccine free of charge to eligible individuals. Eligibility for the NHS vaccine is determined by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and NHS England, with campaigns typically running during Autumn/Winter and Spring. Cohorts commonly include: Older adults (e.g., aged 75 and over by 31st January 2026). Residents in a care home for older adults. Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (as defined in the Green Book). Booking the NHS Vaccine: We take bookings directly through the National Booking Service (NBS) , allowing eligible patients to schedule their appointment online or via the NHS App/119. We also offer walk-in clinics on set days (vaccine supply permitting) for your convenience, which you can check on our website, facebook page, in the pharmacy or by calling us. For individuals who do not meet the NHS eligibility criteria but wish to maintain protection, we offer a private COVID-19 vaccination service. This provides you with an accessible way to receive the latest available vaccine on a non-NHS basis. Our private COVID-19 vaccination is available for £80 and we can administer the private COVID-19 vaccine to individuals aged 12 years and above. By offering both services, we ensure all members of our community can access vaccination to protect themselves and those around them from the serious effects of the virus. Our private services have grown considerably over the past few years and they continue to grow to keep in line with what our patients are looking for from us.  Whether it's travel vaccinations, antimalarials, weight management clinics or a Yellow Fever exemption certificate we have you covered.

These services are obviously chargeable, but are a vital addition to our core services both for the viability of our pharmacy as a business and to meet our patients needs.

Who we are and what we do

Need your prescription dispensed?  We can do that for you and carry a large stock so in most cases we can fulfil your prescription right away. 

Require a vaccination for a holiday, work or just to protect yourself?  We can do that too.  We offer NHS vaccinations for both flu and COVID on a seasonal basis as well as travel, occupational and general wellbeing vaccinations on a private basis.

We also offer other NHS and private professional services to help you access medication and advice in a timely manner.

On top of all this we also excel when it comes to retail therapy, stocking beautiful gifts from quality manufacturers.

NHS Services

What we do

Dispensing is our bread and butter.  Our team of established staff will prepare your medication in a safe and timely manner under the guidance of our experienced pharmacists, with the assistance of advanced computer systems and our dispensing robot.
We can now treat patients for seven conditions on the NHS Pharmacy First scheme.  Eligibility criteria apply and a consultation is required.
