Service Description

Our private ear infection service is designed to help patients with mild ear infections (otitis externa) that are not improving on their own. This service is led by our trained pharmacist, Nat Mitchell, who can examine your ear and provide treatment quickly and safely. During your consultation, Nat will assess your symptoms and determine whether an ear spray is appropriate. The spray contains a combination of antibiotic, antibacterial, and steroid, helping to reduce infection, inflammation, and discomfort. This service is particularly suitable for mild infections that cause pain, itching, or discharge but are not associated with more serious complications. It allows you to get treatment conveniently without needing to see a GP, helping you recover faster and avoid prolonged discomfort. Costs: Consultation: £10 Ear spray (if required): additional £5 Please note that appointments may be required, and the service operates only when our trained pharmacist is available. This ensures that every patient receives a safe and professional assessment. How it works: Assessment: Nat will examine your ear, check your symptoms, and review your medical history to ensure treatment is safe. Treatment: If appropriate, you will receive an ear spray containing antibiotic, antibacterial, and steroid to treat the infection and reduce inflammation. Follow-up guidance: You will be given advice on how to use the spray effectively, what to expect during recovery, and when to seek further medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen. Important Information: This service is for mild ear infections only. Severe pain, fever, hearing loss, or spreading infection requires urgent medical attention. The spray may cause mild irritation or temporary discomfort in the ear. Ear protection and hygiene advice will be provided to prevent recurrence. Our aim is to offer a safe, convenient, and professional solution for mild ear infections, helping you feel better quickly without unnecessary delay.

Private Services

What we do

Our private services have grown considerably over the past few years and they continue to grow to keep in line with what our patients are looking for from us.  Whether it's travel vaccinations, antimalarials, weight management clinics or a Yellow Fever exemption certificate we have you covered.

These services are obviously chargeable, but are a vital addition to our core services both for the viability of our pharmacy as a business and to meet our patients needs.

Who we are and what we do

Need your prescription dispensed?  We can do that for you and carry a large stock so in most cases we can fulfil your prescription right away.

Require a vaccination for a holiday, work or just to protect yourself?  We can do that too.  We offer NHS vaccinations for both flu and COVID on a seasonal basis as well as travel, occupational and general wellbeing vaccinations on a private basis.

We also offer other NHS and private professional services to help you access medication and advice in a timely manner.

On top of all this we also excel when it comes to retail therapy, stocking beautiful gifts from quality manufacturers.
