Advanced medication options (where eligible) to support your weight-loss: Tirzepatide (brand name: Mounjaro) – a once-weekly injection shown to help people lose around 22.5% of their starting body weight by week 72 at the highest dose. Semaglutide (brand name: Wegovy) – a once-weekly injection, used alongside diet and exercise, shown to reduce weight by up to 15%. Mysimba – a daily oral tablet that supports appetite control, to be used in conjunction with healthy eating and activity. If medication is supplied, our pharmacist will guide you in safe use, including administering the first dose if needed, and will stay in touch with you through your treatment to monitor progress and adapt plans accordingly. We assess eligibility for the medications based on your body-mass index (BMI), health conditions and previous weight-loss efforts. For example, Mounjaro is appropriate for individuals with a BMI ≥ 30 kg/m² (or BMI ≥ 27 kg/m² with certain weight-related risk factors) such as hypertension, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, or pre-diabetes/type 2 diabetes.
